In 2002, Hayden participated in an Eco-Challenge in Fiji along with his older brother Tove (29) and sister Hesja (28). With the addition of teacher Bill Trayling (41), of Toronto, they represented Canada as the Team 13, also known as Team Kodak Water & Sport. The course was a total of 500 km long, and the challenge consisted of Jungle Trekking, Ocean Paddling, Swimming, Coasteering, Mountain Biking, River Kayaking, Packrafting, Ropes Course, and Canyoneering. Only 23 out of the 81 original teams finished the race, and unfortunately Hayden's team was not one of them.
The Eco-Challenge was listed on the Internet Movie Database as a Documentary to come out sometime in 2003, so this leads me to believe that we may be able to catch some of the action either on TV or video.
